DarkMesh MANET K9 Camera – an advanced camera system for working dogs

DarkMesh is an advanced wireless camera system designed specifically for use with working dogs. The system consists of two main components: an optics module and a main module, which include a Mesh radio that enables the creation of a mobile ad hoc network (MANET). The system operates simply and is ready to use right out of the box, allowing encrypted video and audio to be shared between multiple units simultaneously.

Key features:

• Advanced cameras: The system includes a color HD day/night camera and a thermal infrared camera, enabling observation in difficult lighting conditions.

• Integrated lighting: White and infrared lighting, as well as a strobe light, provide versatile lighting capabilities to suit the needs of the mission.

• Two-way communication: A “push to talk” function lets the dog handler give commands and listen to the dog or suspect, enhancing control and safety during the mission.

• Built-in GPS: Lets the handler track the dog’s location in real time, improving coordination and control.

• Easy installation: The camera mounts on the dog’s vest using MOLLE and Velcro attachments, ensuring stability and comfort for the dog during activity.

• Compatibility with existing systems: The system is compatible with the company’s DarkFighter K9 helmet, allowing the dog’s capabilities to be expanded by integrating additional equipment.

• Long battery life: Operating time of up to 2 hours with a standard battery, and up to 4.5 hours with a MIL-STD (AN/PRC) battery.

Recommended uses:

• Security and law enforcement forces: To improve surveillance and control during tactical missions.

• Search and rescue units: To track the dog’s location and provide a visual record of the searched area.

We recommend you take a look at our modular vest, the ENFORCER, which has dedicated attachments for this system.
