Rappelling Harness

Rappelling Harness

The Rappelling Harness is made from durable (Mil-Spec) materials and was created for military special operations (MWD), police SWAT units and search-and-rescue (SAR) units. This tactical dog harness is designed for climbing, rappelling and parachuting applications and is sewn to the same safety standards used for human gear.

Features and specifications:

• We use the same type of webbing the military uses to build parachute harnesses throughout the harness design – it dries quickly, resists mold and mildew, and is strong, rated up to 3200 kg (3 tons and 200 kg)
• Padding at the center of the chest provides comfort and safety for the dog.
• Advanced Cobra buckles – both sides must be pressed to release the buckle, rated to 2500 kg (2.5 tons)
• Our large handle gives you full manual control of your dog and can be used to lift the dog over obstacles.
• A MOLLE system on both sides of the harness lets the handler attach accessories and bags or add ID patches.
• Ergonomic shoulder straps use a metal adjuster to hold their setting securely.
• An accessory loop at the top of the shoulders for attaching marker lights or an ID plate.
• Elastic loops included for attaching a Stick Light to both sides of the harness.
• Rear leg straps prevent suspension trauma during prolonged vertical use by supporting the weight of the dog’s hind legs – keeping the legs from dropping and compressing the dog’s diaphragm. The straps can be quickly released from the harness, allowing the Rappelling Harness to function as a standard harness.
