The American Staffordshire Terrier typically has a life expectancy of 12-14 years. Males weigh between 25-32 kg and are 46-48 cm tall, while females weigh 18-25 kg and are 43-46 cm tall. They are relatively resistant to heat but sensitive to cold due to their short, smooth, and stiff coat, which comes in varied colors including solid, two-to-three color combinations, and brindle. This breed has a high energy level and a tendency toward hereditary diseases such as hip dysplasia, heart problems, and skin sensitivities.
